Be part of the Wodonga 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Interested in taking action to prevent violence in our community?

Expressions of interest are now open from local organisations, community groups and individuals who are interested in holding an event, program or activity as part of the Wodonga 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

The global campaign raises awareness about violence against women and its impact on a woman’s physical, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing. The campaign will be marked with two weeks of events in Wodonga.

The Wodonga campaign aims to provide the opportunity for our local community to learn more about violence against women as well as the underlying causes of men’s violence including; gender inequality, gender power imbalances, stereotypes and biases and negative attitudes towards women and to take action to prevent violence before it occurs in our community.

Expressions of interest close at 5pm on Friday, September 29. For more information and to obtain an expression of interest form, please contact the Community Planning and Development Co-ordinator, Anthea Maher on (02) 6022 9343 or
