Planning scheme amendments

Every Wodonga Planning Scheme amendment is placed on public exhibition to allow the affected parties and the public to view the amendment and make submissions to either support or object the amendment.

Amendments are generally placed on public exhibition for one month.

Notice of when an amendment is on exhibition appears in The Border Mail on a Wednesday or Saturday.

Anyone can view the amendment when on exhibition at our offices at 104 Hovell St, Wodonga during business hours.

Submissions to an amendment must be made in writing, be submitted before the closing date and addressed to:

The Amendment proposes to give statutory effect to the Wodonga CBA Policy Framework Plan 2016, to guide land use, built form and development. The Framework was prepared based on council’s adopted Wodonga CBA Revitalisation Plan and Wodonga CBA Revitalisation Design Guide.

The closing date for submissions is Friday, April 22, 2016.

Amendment C124 to the Wodonga Planning Scheme – Activity Centre Zone

The amendment applies to all land within the Central Business Area of Wodonga, traditionally centred on High Street, as well as land in the immediate and proximate surrounding area.

The Amendment proposes to give statutory effect to the Wodonga CBA Policy Framework Plan 2016, to guide land use, built form and development. The Framework was prepared based on council’s adopted Wodonga CBA Revitalisation Plan and Wodonga CBA Revitalisation Design Guide.

The closing date for submissions is Friday, April 22, 2016.

Planning and Environment Act 1987 Panel Report – Wodonga Planning Scheme Amendments C123 and C124 (Local Planning Policy Framework Rewrite and Central Wodonga Activity Centre Zone)

Amendment C123 to the Wodonga Planning Scheme revises the Local Planning Policy Framework in the Wodonga Planning Scheme by replacing Clauses 21 and 22.

Amendment C124 updates the planning controls for the Central Business Area (CBA) of Wodonga.
