Buying an existing health premises

If you are purchasing an existing health premises, the following steps must be completed to transfer the current registration.

Step one:

Submit a formal request in writing from your solicitor to us stating that you are purchasing the health premises and an inspection of the health premises is required.

Following this, we will: 

  • Complete and return a transfer of owner's consent form to us before an inspection of the premises is completed and information about the business is released; and
  • Forward an¬†inspection report outlining the works to be completed prior to settlement and an application for transfer form for you to complete.

Step two:

Submit the application for transfer form with the relevant fee prior to settlement.

PLEASE NOTE: Depending on the type of business and changes you may be making, you may need to contact our building and planning teams to obtain other relevant permits.
