Staging your event in Wodonga
Welcome to Wodonga where our team’s experience staging events and working with event organisers is second to none. We have hosted events ranging from the Ulysses Motorcycle Club AGM in 2015 with over 3,000 people to Cold Chisel’s ‘Light the Nitro’ Tour, that saw over 12,000 people attend a very memorable concert.
We also have a range of unique venues including our major events site at Gateway Lakes, which is strategically located on the Lincoln Causeway between Albury and Wodonga.
Advice and assistance
Wodonga Council can provide many types of assistance to event organisers including, but not limited to:
Financial assistance for major events is available through council’s Event Attraction Contribution Program. To be eligible for funding, the event should be capable of contributing positively to the profile of the city, generating significant visitation and economic returns, whilst enhancing the lifestyle and attractiveness of the city. Guidelines and application forms are available on request.
Community organisations can access funding via council’s Community Impact Grants Program. The program aims to empower community organisations and individuals to stage events and activities in an innovative and creative way, as well as looking to improve the city. The program guidelines and funding application are both available for download.
For organisations who have already received funded via the Festival and Event Contribution Program, please download the final acquittal document.
If you would like more information or assistance, please phone the events team on 02 6022 9300.
If you are a major concert or event promoter looking for a suitable venue to stage your next event in regional Victoria, we have developed a Prospectus for Major Events which is available for you to download.
