Who are we?

Wodonga is a vibrant and growing city situation on the Murray River and is one of the fastest growing regional cities in Victoria.  The city is undergoing redevelopment and has consistent growth in population, residential, commercial and industrial development.

Wodonga has a population of more than 40,000 people and is a regional hub situated halfway between Melbourne and Sydney on the Hume Highway. It is the largest city in North East Victoria and, with its twin city Albury in New South Wales, has a regional catchment of around 180,000 people.

Wodonga Council has a vision as a progressive, well-planned, growing city that is affordable, offers and abundance of opportunities and is led by strong, empathetic leadership. Its mission is to strengthen our community in all that we do.
