Branko Palavestra Park Playground

Wodonga Council proposes to replace the playground in Branko Palavestra Park, in Phillips Street.

The existing three pieces of play equipment - a see-saw, swings and a rocker - were installed in 1998 and are due to be replaced part of council’s Playground Strategy 2016-2020.

Because Branko Palavestra Park is a small area, there is limited space for the playground.

The proposed new equipment includes a swing set with two swings, a double slide, a rocker with a wide seat and full back support to assist accessibility, climbing equipment, a tower and a “shop” for toddlers to play.

Council wants to know what playground users and the wider community think of the proposed new equipment.

It’s expected that work would begin and be completed in November.

Branko Palavestra Park was named in 2016, in consultation with the community, after popular local resident Branko Palavestra who ran a store on the corner of Phillips and Athol streets.

Wodonga has more than 70 playgrounds and a map of the city’s playgrounds and amenities is available on our website here.
