Belvoir Park playground

We’re extending the Belvoir Park playground and want you provide input into what should be included in the next stage of this popular playground.

Belvoir Park playground is Wodonga’s only regional playground, servicing residents and visitors.

The present playground features a junior playground, intermediate to senior play area, elevated platforms, decks, slides, nets, climbing wall and a liberty swing.

The extension of the playground is aimed at six to 14 years and will build on the existing intermediate to senior play area.

For this part of the playground, think rockclimbing walls, a flying fox, obstacle course and nature play to suit the natural environs and bring the two play precincts together.

We know that water play and splash parks are popular and are quite often requested when talking playgrounds. This area lacks the infrastructure and drainage for that kind of equipment. Water parks only attract seasonal use and we want this to be a space our community can enjoy all year-around with multiple attractions.

There are many ways to have your say online and in-person. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

September 15, 2022

Due to recent and forecasted rainfall, the works on the playground have been delayed until mid-October. The short delay is not expected to impact the completed date of April, 2023.

August 23, 2022

More than 250 children, parents and carers had their say and the new playground at Belvoir Park is now officially “coming soon”.

Work will start mid-September and is expected to finish in April 2023.
