Wodonga Council’s infrastructure assets have a current replacement value of more than $728 million.
The council must ensure that these assets are kept functional and are able to support the services they provide to the community in a sustainable way over the long term.
The Wodonga Council Draft Asset Plan is a new document, forming part of a strategic framework of documents and aims to demonstrate how the council will manage its major assets over the next 10 years, incorporating the Financial Plan 2021-2022 to 2030-2031, annual budget, and long-term capital plan.
This document forms part of council’s Asset Management Framework, which aligns with and complements the long-term financial plan, capital plan, annual budget and is guided by the strategic objectives in the Council Plan.
It is intended to be community focussed and non-technical, and contain information about maintenance, renewal, acquisition (ie., new, expansion, upgrade) and disposal (eg. decommissioning) in relation to each class of infrastructure asset under the control of the council.
