In August this year we asked local residents their thoughts on what they wanted to see in planned upgrades for Kosovar Park Playground.
More swings, climbing, making things more suitable for older children and retaining the grassed area were common themes from both children, their parents and carers.
The proposed design increases the amount of equipment and play areas in the park without removing the open space and includes:
- Replacement multiplay unit with larger slide and toddler slide;
- Rope web;
- Climbing and fitness frame;
- Arched monkey bars;
- 360 degree basket swing; and,
- Twister, hopscotch and handball markings.
The existing spinner, rocker and swings will be retained.
Other planned works at the site are an additional table and chairs, removal of the enclosed playground fencing and nature play.
