Wodonga Council presents the North East Food and Wine Festival - a three day program that celebrates the regions food and wine offerings to excite, inspire and engage the senses.

This is a family friendly, inclusive event that will showcase the finest food, wine, beverage and entertainment that North East Victoria and the Border has to offer.

This is a free event and no tickets are required. Entry is on a first-in basis until event site capacity is reached.

There are three entrances to the event.

  1. Eastern entry - On the corner of High St and Elgin Blvd
  2. Southern entry - Elgin Blvd adjacent to Hume St
  3. Northern entry - Church St near Jack Hore Way

The event is fully licensed and there is no BYO alcohol. Please observe the licensed zone which is the fenced event area. No alcohol is to be taken beyond this zone.

Reusable stemless wine glasses will be available to purchase for $5 each at the event.

Food and drinks are available for purchase.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Limited alfresco dining seating areas have been provided.

This event is a no smoking or vaping event.

This is a pet free event. Registered service animals are permitted with accredited vest on display.

PARKING
Public car parking is within walking distance from the event.

  • Acacia Car Park – access from Hume St
  • Mulga Car Park – access from Elgin Blvd
  • Banksia Car Park – access from Hume St
  • Heath Car Park – access from Hume and Lawrence streets
  • Oak Car Park – access from Hovell St
  • Civic Precinct Car Park – access from Hovell and Havelock streets
  • Gravel car park opposite Wodonga Courthouse – access from Havelock St

Street parking is also available surrounding Junction Place.

Mann Central and Wodonga Plaza shopping centers also have car parking available. Please observe parking limits.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Disabled car parking spaces are available in Aurora Way, High St, Elgin Blvd and the public car parks listed above.

PUBLIC TOILETS
Onsite toilets are available in the following locations:

  • Near the main stage area
  • Public toilets located on the platform
  • Inside onsite venues participating in the event

If you do not wish to purchase a reusable tasting glass, all vendors will have a limited supply of biodegradable cups for tastings and/or drink purchases.

LIQUOR LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
Please read the following requirements of our liquor licence.

  • Sample of liquor may only be served in disposable tasting cups, filled to no more than 60ml capacity
  • Liquor may be supplied for consumption at the event in unsealed non-glass containers
  • All packaged liquor sales must be un-chilled and in sealed containers

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
This event will be conducted in accordance with the Responsible Service of Alcohol ACT Victoria.

No supply to under 18s. Do not attempt to buy liquor for under 18s.

The event organisers and/or vendors reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to patrons who are intoxicated, drunk and/or disorderly.

The event organisers reserve the right to request patrons leave the event area if they are intoxicated, drunk or disorderly.

No open liquor is to be taken out of the fenced event area.

CASH AND EFTPOS FACILITIES
Stallholders and vendors will have a mixture of cash and EFTPOS facilities. Please come prepared accordingly.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography will be occurring during the course of this event. Please notify a member of staff if you or your children do not wish to be photographed.

FIRST AID
St John Ambulance will be onsite and available for the duration of the event.

LOST PROPERTY
If you have lost property, please go to the Wodonga Council information marquee for assistance.

DRINKING WATER
There are existing water refill stations in Junction Square. The North East Water station is available for all patrons to utilise. We encourage you to BYO water bottle.

SEATING
Limited seating areas will be provided as part of the event set up. We encourage you to BYO picnic blankets or chairs.

EVENT SECURITY
Security personnel will be present at entrances/exits and roaming throughout the event.
