Creative business workshops come to Albury

25 Jul, 2019

In an effort to support creative industries success in regional NSW, Creative Plus Business is heading to Albury in partnership with Murray Arts and NSW Business Connect.

The social enterprise will be presenting two workshops on Saturday, August 10, 2019, Top Ten Tips for Creatives and Marketing Strategy for Creatives. Both workshops have been designed to help creative practitioners develop the business aspect of their creative practice.

Monica Davidson, creative industries expert and award-winning presenter, will be facilitating the Top Ten Tips workshop in the morning; and Marketing Strategy for Creatives in the afternoon. Both workshops will be held at the Retro Lane Café on Swift Street, Albury.

“We’re very excited to bring our Creative Industries Roadshow to Albury,” said Monica. “NSW Business Connect allows us to provide workshops and events like these for a low cost to regional areas, and we can refer creative people to free business advice as well.”

Business Connect is a dedicated and personalised NSW Government program that provides trusted advice to help people start or grow a small business. In addition to the workshops, participants will be entitled to four hours of additional advice and support for free as part of the NSW Business Connect program.

Creative Plus Business provides confidential, independent business advice and skills training for small and medium creative businesses across NSW as part of the NSW Government’s Business Connect program. The creative industries in NSW include visual art and crafts, music, performing arts, writing and publishing, screen and radio production, architecture, and design in all its forms.

“The creative industries in NSW are growing, and more practitioners want to know about the basics of business, money and marketing. Our workshops can help people to learn the fundamentals in a fun and practical way, in an environment where they are encouraged to get to know each other and make connections,” said Monica.

Tickets to the workshops are only $25 + bf – places are limited.   For more information and to book a place visit http://bit.ly/TTTAlbury and http://bit.ly/MSAlbury
