Wodonga Council will recieve $594,550 towards the CBD Tourism Cycling Links project as part of the Regional Jobs and Investment Package from the Coalition Government.
Nationals Senator for Victoria, Bridget McKenzie was in Wodonga today to officially congratulate Wodonga Council on it's successful application.
"Projects like the CBD Toursim Cycling Links will see the construction of an 8 kilometre sealed track, along with car park and rest areas to increase Wodonga and the North East region's attraction as an outdoor tourism destination."

"The sport is extremely popular in the Wodonga region and with this infrastructure it will continue to grow."
Mayor Cr Anna Speedie said the project will be well recieved in the local community and is well targeted for the sport of cycling to flourish in the region.
This is just one of the many great projects across the Goulburn Valley region that the Regional Jobs and Investment Package has been able to assist.
Infrastructure and enhancements:
- Sealing the path from Obsurn St to Whytes - 8kms in length
- Track drainage works
- Road crossings, safety, signage, bike/hand rails, line marking and kerb extensions
- Provision of car parking along the trail
- Landscaping works
- Major rest areas including seating, tables, shelter and access to drinking water
