A new sports pavilion project is under way at Kelly Park.
The project is a joint development by Wodonga Council, Twin City Wanderers, Cricket Albury Wodonga and the Federal Government in partnership with the Victorian Government.
The project includes demolishing the existing change facilities and constructing a new pavilion.
The new pavilion includes four female-friendly change rooms, public amenities including male, female and all-access toilets, as well as baby change facilities.
There will also be a first aid room, separate referee rooms and amenities, as well as upgraded kitchen and canteen facilities.
Kelly Park is also undergoing a lighting upgrade to replace old halogen lights with an LED system.
Wodonga Council will contribute $120,000 to the upgrade, while a $240,000 grant from The World Game Fund will provide the venue with a 100 lux LED lighting system on the soccer and cricket grounds of Kelly Park.
The upgrade provides the facility with amateur standard lighting for competition and match practice training.
The works will include upgrades to the main switchboard and electrical supply, installation of underground cabling and LED light fitting on new light towers.
