The $282,300 project is a joint venture between Wodonga Council, Wodonga Diamonds Football Club, Murray United Football Club, in partnership with the Victorian Government.
The project involves the upgrade of the lighting to meet Australian Match Standards for soccer, including 200 lux on field one and 100 lux on field two.
Using six existing light poles, with the addition of four new poles, the outdated and inefficient metal halide light fittings that do not meet standard will be removed in addition to the current control system. These will be replaced with a more efficient and powerful LED light system that meets required standards.
Construction is due to commence in May 2023 and will be completed by February, 2024.
