Les Cheesley Oval Pavilion Redevelopment Project

PROJECT
COMPLETE

A new female-friendly pavilion is under construction at Martin Park.

The Les Cheesley Oval Pavilion Redevelopment Project includes female-friendly change facilities with individual lockable cubicles, separate umpire change rooms with toilet and shower.

The pavilion will also include public amenities such as male, female and all-access toilets, as well as baby change facilities.

There will be a multi-purpose social room designed for flexibility and shared community use, as well as a kitchen and kiosk area to provide direct service into both the multi-purpose room and external area.

The Victorian Government has funded $500,000 for the project, while the Federal Government has contributed $200,000.

The project aims to increase female participation across both cricket and football.

The female-friendly change room is the fourth of its kind across the city after Willow Park, Emerald Oval and Wodonga Athletics Pavilion.
