The Wodonga Access Advisory Group is a collaborative forum comprising individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and organisations possessing a wide range of knowledge and experience in disability-related matters. This group serves to offer strategic advice to the council on access-related issues that can be addressed at a municipal level.
Role of the committee
- Enhancing the accessibility of current and future infrastructure, facilities, and transportation systems in Wodonga.
- Establishing a consultative platform among community members, service providers and the council to identify and address barriers to participation and access to community life in Wodonga.
- Raising awareness of the needs of individuals with disabilities and the broader community's access requirements.
Meetings are conducted bi-monthly in the council chambers and are open to all members of the community.
