A workshop on creating an impressionable resume and working towards a long-term career are skills that can help you in life.
Learn these skills and more when the council's youth team hosts How 2 Days online on Wednesday, May 6 from 4pm to 5pm.
Wodonga Council, together with local businesses and youth service providers, are offering the workshops to arm today’s youth with important life skills.
Having the skills to create a well-crafted resume and a professionally presented cover letter could make the difference between getting a job interview or having your application ignored.
Did you know that on average an employer or recruiter takes just 8 to 10 seconds to screen a resume and cover letter before considering an applicant to either be shortlisted for a pre-screen telephone interview or not? Sometimes it can be even less than this.
Kestrel Recruitment staff will help you and your resume stand out, while a team from Wodonga TAFE Skills and Job Centre will equip you with the expertise of working towards a long-term career.
Junction Support Services will also run a workshop to help participants set realistic goals.
If you think this is for you head to wod.city/H2DMay2020 to get your free ticket.
