Health

Wodonga is a leader in regional health facilities and has a comprehensive range of services available to the community.

There are approximately 140 general practitioners and specialists in the region, with fully qualified professionals working in all fields from obstetrics to oncology and from paediatrics to psychiatry.

Albury Wodonga Health

The Wodonga and Albury hospitals merged in 2009 to create Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) and provide public health to the border.

AWH operates from the two existing sites, now known as Wodonga campus (previously Wodonga Regional Health Service), which is located in Vermont St, and Albury campus (previously Albury Base Hospital).

Albury Wodonga Private Hospital

The Albury-Wodonga Private Hospital is located in Pemberton St, Albury and is used by many Wodonga residents.

It has grown to more than 100 beds and has about 110 credentialed medical practitioners in an array of specialities.

La Trobe University

Wodonga TAFE

Flying Fruit Fly Circus

The Flying Fruit Fly Circus is based on the border and offers an acrobatics and circus school.

Many former students of the school have gone on to a career in performing arts, both nationally and internationally.

More than 20 primary and secondary schools are located within the city including public and Catholic, Anglican and Lutheran denominations. A special development school for children with disabilities also operates.
